CAR WRAPS CAN BRING INCREDIBLE BENEFITS.
Car wraps can bring incredible benefits. Vinyl car wraps are becoming more and more popular in recent years. As a result, what was just a $1.62 billion market in 2015 is expected to grow past $10 billion by 2025.
What is a car wrap?
Think of it as a temporary decal sticker that changes the look of a vehicle without the long-term commitment of a paint job. Because car wrapping is more flexible and affordable compared to repainting the car permanently, car owners are choosing to wrap their vehicles.
They are designed with text, images, graphics, and other branding elements to make a car stand out from the crowd. These vinyl decals are applied to the entire body of the car. Finishing options include:
Glossy Car Wrap
Matte Car Wrap
Carbon Firber Car Wrap
Metallic Car Wrap
Chrome Car Wrap

How does car wrapping work?
First, the car wrapping team takes measurements of the car and creates a car wrap design based on the customer¡¯s specifications. Then they produce the vinyl film and laminate it to protect the film from scratches and UV rays. When it¡¯s time to apply the vinyl wrapping to the car, the team will thoroughly wash the car and detail it with a clay bar to remove all sorts of contaminants. They sometimes apply chemicals to clean the original paint and then blow compressed air to eliminate dust particles.
The next step is to detach all the car accessories that won¡¯t be covered by vinyl, such as bumpers, headlights, and taillights. This allows the team to install the vinyl wrap as close to the edges as possible.
If the car owner does not want to take down the accessories, an alternative to this step is to cut away the vinyl around the bumpers and lights with a scalpel-like tool.
When applying the vinyl wrap around the body, the installer uses a heat gun to make the material more pliable as it sticks to the surface of the vehicle. If the car wrap has a complicated design featuring custom colours and graphics, the team applies additional layers of the vinyl. Once the wrapping is done, the surface is wiped down with a soft felt squeegee to remove any air pockets.
The entirecar wrapping process, from design to application, can take a couple of days to a week. The amount of labour required depends on the parts of the particular car that needs wrapping.
